Yamaha Digital Multifunction Speedometer

I have a 2005 Pathfinder w/2005 Yamaha VMAX HPDI. My speedometer recently stopped working properly (speed/trip distance shown is incorrect). Is there a recommended method to troubleshoot to see if the gauge itself is faulty or simply a clogged or disconnected air hose. If it is the gauge, I'm concerned that the fuel indicator may not be accurate. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The speedo pickup hole on front edge of gearcase probably plugged up and needs to be cleaned out.
