70 hp cooling system plugged

I replaced my water pump impeller last fall. The old one had a cracked blade and a part missing from another blade.I cannot seem to get a jet with any force coming out of the water pump outlet and am wondering if anyone has had a problem with pluggage of the passage with the broken impeller piece or pieces. I plan to use compressed air to blow back thru the system to try and dislodge this pluggage. Any similar problems out there?

ive never heard of that problem before but i would be careful on how much air pressure you blow thru your motor. are you sure your pump was reinstalled correctly? keyway installed and impeller turning the right way?

Checked the impeller and it was installed correctly.I tried blowing back through the pisser tube and have no air coming out the tube at the water pump.Next step is to take off the water ciculation cover (on left sde at the rear of the block) and see what is there. I am assuming this cover will expose the cooling water passages......anyone out there who has done this before?
