I have a 1989 90ELTF and the lenses are so weathered you can barely see the display. The part number for the speedometer is 6Y5-835000-A0, but shows obsolete in the purchase yamaha part page. Is there an existing alternate for this part?
You can fix your problem with a little rubbing compound. If you have a fine rubbing compound just polish the lens out. It may not make it like new but at least you will be able to see the gauge.
If you don't have any compound an alterative is to use tooth paste. Old trick I learned years ago. Mike
