Hard Steering

I have a 1993 Proline with Yamaha 200hp
Steering is hard and I have isolated down to the
cylinder mounted on the engine. When disconnected from (and lines disconnected)the engine I still cannot move it in and out. There is no markings on the cylinder. Any idea where I might obtain this cylinder. Thanks

A 1993 Proline probably has Teleflex steering, the Teleflex part number is HC5345 for the front mount cylinder, which are very available. Boats.net does have them but they are not listed online, You would have to call them.

the hydraulic systems, as im told by a manufacturer, teleflex when i had that one, can build up moisture and the fluid should be changed periodically. Ive never lost a ram , but have had a pump get very stiff. seastar, hynautic and teleflex will work on your motor.
