2004 F200 NMEA 0183 Data?

The GPSMAP 740S has two NMEA 0183 connections. The question is, "Does the 2004 F200 put out NMEA 0183 Data that would be useful for fuel management for a 740? My electronics guy believes there is only an input for NMEA 0183 Data on the engine. This seems suspect to me. I would like to connect them.

I currently have Yamaha Digital Speedo and Tach gauges, no Fuel Management. I would like to use the 740's capabilities without installing the FMM gauge.

No it does not. You would need a 2006 or newer engine that was NMEA 2000 compatable.

Thanks, I guess I have to examine getting a Yamaha fuel management gauge or some COTS alternative. The Garmin solution seems expensive and must be calibrated.
