1997 9.9 cdi unit gone bad?

I have checked stop switch with ohm meter. Has anyone ever had problem with CDI unit going bad these are expensive little units. Any help would be appreciated.

Very seldom they go bad, need to test charge coils, pulsor coils and CDI output with a peak reading voltmeter to find problem.

These motors do have a crank sealing issue-rubber sealing between cylinders goes bad.Beleve it is up to 2004 models,then they came with aluminium seal.
