Yamaha trim issue

A couple of months ago,i bought the 2007 V150 2 stroke VMAXr and learning my way around it,i decided the raising trim speed was slow,but ok.
today i could not raise or lower the motor w/ o doing it manually.
what is the best economical path to get this done?
my car mech, buddy took off the motor assembly for me
