I replaced the fuel filter in the VST tank this weekend. However, when I reassembled the VST tank, the tank will not fit correctly on the pump side. It has about a ¼ to ½ inch separation. I then removed the plate 2 (Yamaha part # 66K-13844-00-00) and the tank will go together fine. I have looked at the plate and it does not seem to be bent or warped. There is also a damper pump that fits inside plate 2. Could the damper pump be swollen and not fitting correctly?
