choke and throtle adjustment 2004 T25

do you adjust the choke and advance throtle in the 703 control or at the engine end of the cables.??
there is alot of excessive play in the throtle movement in the control,having to move it 1-to 1 1/2 inches to get any rpm's to advance.mudjon09

Cable adjustments are made at engine, remove cables from engine and check to see if throttle cable has more end play than shift cable.
