• Winterizing / fogging port

New to forum and boating. Have the '05 F90TLRD and will be attempting to winterize myself. I have a two questions:

1. after using the intake muffs, do you use air (under 30 or 40 psi) to blow out any remaining water in the lines, like an RV?

2. Does my engine have a dedicated fogging port, and if so, where? Or do I just spray it in the air intake where the silencer is?

Thanks in advance.

fis2b,
Good question, considering where you live. I think if you just let the outboard drain for say five minutes and then turn it over a couple of times w/o starting, that should get most of the water out of the cooling system.
If I were you, I would go by the storage procedure in your owners manual - if you don't have one, go to www.yamaha-motor.com/outboard and link over to service and view the manual online.
Good luck ,
