Yamaha 200 hpdi oil injection problem

My 200 hpdi yamaha has an oil injection problem. I can manually put oil in the small oil reservoir for it to be okay, but without it my audible warning comes on. After checking both the small filter on the engine and the one on the major oil reservoir and the lines, I found them to be clean and all lines clear.
Checking the wiring, it appears the polarity is reversed somehow. The pump still works but the oil only pumps if I reverse the polarity. My guess is a relay or oil harness issue.
Is anyone out their familiar with such an issue???
