25 hp loosing rpm and power

Hello
recently i purchased a 1997 c25mlhv outboard used, after running wide open throttle ocasionally it will drop down to about 3000 rpm and looses power. i have replaced the plugs, water pump and thermostat. any suggestions?

sounds like youre loosin fuel supply, check the pump ball when issue arises and also tank vent.do you use any type of inline filters? check those also.

I had the same problem with 1984 115. I changed motor to a newer 200hp with the same problem. I then changed all the fuel lines from the tank to the engine, including a new ball and it worked great

Check vent on fuel tank -
Check all fuel filters -
If the above check out ok, then I would suspect bad fuel pump.
