    Hey all,
My Buddy spent $1,000 to fix his trailer to take his boat on vacation ,only to have it break down. Was towed in the first day (mo money) found some one local to work on it (mo money). Cleaned and rebuilt carbs. Ran good the one day he got out. Put it back in the slip and since then it has been surging above 3600 RPM. Worse the higher you go in the RPM range. Feels like its starving for fuel to me. Could it be an adjustment?

    starving for fuel

Your on right track, read former posts. Look for simple things right now, fuel pump kit any leaks of gas? Connections are they proper with correct oring on quick connect? I got thicker one Ace hardware, keep on reading previous posts.

besides the obvious air leaks, fuel filters, anti siphon valves, etc. you should check fuel pump diaphrams, carb float levels & main jets (adjust set to factory settings). Find yama dealer to do this
Spent last august with similiar problem and carbs were issue(not ethanol fuel problem)
      good luck
