Yes, I said it...
I'm not quite sure how to test the primary and secondary resistance of the coil(s) on my '90 200 ETXD.
I'm getting a misfire on one of the cylinders, (seemingly only at low idle).
I thought it was incorrect carb settings, but a friend did the 'ole "pull the plug wire while its running and listen for the misfire" trick, and we deemed it a bad coil.
I know it could be one of many things, but I at least want to test the ohms reading of it first. Plus, I dont own a DVA adapter, yet.
I have a nice digi meter with the inductance pick-up for RPMs, so I was going to compare RPM readings, as well.
I have clymer manual with the Ohm readings for the coil, but If anyone knows the readings off hand from maybe a factory manual, it would be nice to cross-reference that spec.
Just to clarify, there's the plug wire, black ground and the blk/gray wire that goes to the CDI box.
Thanks in advance!!
