Hi,
I've got a T9.9 outboard with remote control on a cruising trimaran and am pursuing prop ideas, since with the stock hi-thrust prop I'm only getting 5-6 knots. I understand I should do my homework first and find out the GPS boat speed at 6000 engine rpm and use that as a benchmark. Trouble is, I have no tach on the boat. Is there an inexpensive way for me to determine engine rpms without spending hundreds of dollars on a harness and gauges? Are there any wireless devices, or clip in instruments I can use? Any suggestions/recommendations are welcome.
Thanks!
