  • 1987 30J 2-stroke compression too high??

I have owned this motor since new, ran the thing for years and years without so much as a hickup.
Then I completely stopped using it for years and years (don't ask).
I put fresh gas in yesterday and, after removing what was left in the gas filter, it just started!
It does idle rough now, probably due to varnished-up carbs.

I did a compression test, just for the fun of it.
    I got (top to bottom) 140, 135, 140.

That seems nice and even, but isn't that too high?
    What's the maximum allowable?

    p.s. this is a non oil-injection model, currently I mix @80:1.
Should I go back to 100:1 oil mix?

    The compression is great.

One thing I have learned from these forums is less than 90 is not good but more importantly the numbers themselves are not as important as the differnce between cylinders which should be not more than 10 - 15 PSI
