2002 115 yamaha 2 stroke hard to start wont ide

i bought polar boat a moth ago has 2 stroke 115 was running ok now having hard time starting and wont idle runs fine any postion but ide also need to ajust linkage could this cause ide problem also have to choke every time i start even when warm cant anybody help

Need to run a compression test and probably needs carb cleaned and sync.
