I'm confused on this one and hopeing to see if one of you might have a clue:
Had some fuel system issues so cleaned out system
1) Replaced fuel tank. Had a slight leak so had to do that anyway.
.
2) Replaced 10 micron filtera and fuel line to engine.
3) cleaned VST filter (was very clogged)
4) changed filter by the low pressure pump
Was running much better at low and high idle but still a little rough so sent injectors out for professional cleaning.
5) injectors returned with written report claiming big improvement on spray pattern and flow after cleaning.
6) replaced injectors and motor runs very smooth at higher than 1200 rpm.
problem: Engine starts but quickly dies at idle. With throttle up engine starts fine and runs very smoothly at 1200+ rpm. Soon as throttle is pulled back, engine dies. Will not idle.
Suspecting possible vacuum leak but engine idled much better before injector service. Didn't have anything apart since testing before and after injecotor service (other than the rail of course). So I really think that I sealed everything up ok after removing intake to get to that VST. Ran it a good 30 min thinking I may work out an air pocket someplace but no luck.
Any ideas? I may have to take this in for computer diagnostics. Was really up for the challenge doing this on my own.
Thanks in advance
