My outboard is having trouble running, i have gone over motor and did find that the priming bulb isn't staying hard and the fuel filter doesn't stay full. I have looked for an air leak to no avail. The motor surges when i can get it to run. Any suggestions. Dave

I have to push on the throttle sensor to get it to start and after i got it to run i was cruising but it wasn't running well. When i hit the trim switch either up or down the motor would take off like it was suppose to. As soon as i released the switch it would go right back to dogging. It does seem to be going thru alot of oil also. Dave

to isolate supply from motor , use an aux tank, hose and ball hooked to motor filter
need to monitor fuel pressure @ rail
done any service ??

This is an OX66 right? What's the os? Don't think trim/tilt has anything to do with fuel delivery. You got a soft primer bulb, work from there. Use the aux tank like jb says; that should eliminate lots of things.1999 Grady Sailfish SX225 OX66
