what is the difference OX66 years ???

IS there any differences in the 250 hp ox66 motors between the years 1999 through 2003 ?

SX or VX OX66?
they used diffent ign systems.

I am looking to purchase a "back up Motor" .. if I can find a clean one at the right price. I presently have model year 2001. I was trying to find out what years were the same as this (for parts swap if necessary) and for installation to wiring and gauges ect. Externally they seem to look alike.

typically parts swapping just leads to two dead engines and twice the cost.
