we bought an outboard motor but we dont know whats the model # and how many horse power it has. we drove the boat for around 15 minutes and when we stopped for sightseing and when we started the engine, the engine starts but the propeller doesnt turn at all. our mechanic found out that there is a missing parts, we have the partnumber of pinion gear. Part number 676-45551-00. This part is located below the missing parts. the missing partS ARE the FOLLOWING ACCORDING TO ORDER going up from the pinion gear given above: BEARING, SHIM, ANOTHER BEARING ABOVE IT, ANOTHER BEARING AND THE SLEEVE DRIVE SHAFT. is there any way for us to know the partnumbers of the missing parts or to know what model and HP our motor is? were not really familiar of this parts. thank you so much. hoping to hear some reply and solutions for our long problem.

The engines sold here in the USA are not the same models that are sold in the Phillipines and we dont have a parts listing, but not knowing the model number it would make almost impossible to find parts.

let me get this.... you drove it...for 15 minutes and all was well.... stop...then theres missing parts from the interior of your lower unit ?? broken, damaged, possibly, but definately not missing. i would check the linkage where your gear cable connects to engage the gears, unhook it and move manually by hand.
