I have been trying to install a Faria Trim gauge on a 90 Horse Yamaha outboard motor and have been told I need to be looking for a pink wire on the motor. However I have not had much sucsess with the pink wires I have found. Can anyone maybe shed some light or give some advice on an exact location of this wire. I have also done some research and seem to be getting some conflicting information. I have a wireing diagrham that says the trim position sensor wire should be orange? Any help would be greatly appriciated.

You need 6Y5-83653-00-00 Trim/Oil harness and connect it to the off white colored square connector on engine(usually by or behind the main harness 10 pin connector) then connect the pink wire in that harness to trim gauge sender post.
