Convert 2005 T8 from Tiller to 703 Remote
I browsed this forum but could not find all the info I need.
I have a brand new Tiller 2005 T8 8hp outboard. I just purchased a 703 remote which comes with a 10pin plug. I can’t find corresponding female 10pin plug on the motor. I have everything connected, including linkages and cables except the wire that comes out of the 703. Is there a harness I can buy to connector to some of the internal wires under the lid of my T8 so that it can connect to the 703. All local shops are telling me to cut the 10pin plug on the 703 remote, find a wiring diagram and direct wire it. I am not comfortable doing this, I can’t believe there isn’t a slicker way of doing this. The shop will charge me 150$ to hardwire it and cut the plug on the 703. Any advice?? Thanks in advance
