  • Need advice on Prop for Yamaha 250 SHO

I am currently running a 27 T-1 Yamaha prop 3 inches below the pad and I'm turning 5,850 RPM's at WOT. I can go up at least another inch on the jack plate but I don't want to start getting into the rev limiter on the motor. I need a prop with good lift and one that can carry a load but still has good top end. I am thinking of trying a 28 or 29 pitch prop and may even go up to a 4 blade. Any suggestions on a brand or pitch?

Have you tried to post in a prop forum or check out this web site?

yeah I tried the Yamaha site and I'm getting the same results at lower RPM's than the prop and set up they have listed. I was just hoping for some various opinions and set up options. Guess the search will go on...lol
