F60 not firing

How do I begin to diagnos a 2002 F60TLRA that is not firing. Removed spark plug, grounded, turned over and no spark. Motor is not hitting on any cylinder. What is the correct procedure to find the defective component? Motor was running fine a month ago, has never had firing problems and has just sat until now.

Check your safety kill switch to make sure it is still attached properly.

If that is good the it is a matter of picking up a service/repair manual and the proper testing equipment and follow the step by step procedures to see what has failed
