Yea, that's what is say's in the owner's manual. Seems like a huge spread. How come a lot of techs say to prop to achieve 6,000 RPM?1999 Grady Sailfish SX225 OX66

I had a 115HP Yamaha on a 16' Checkmate and I could trim it all the way up to chine walk at 5800RPM's, but really about 5500 was a good, safe WOT speed. What's the advantage of running 6000RPM's?...kinda asking for trouble with the motor running like that. There's a rev-limiter on them anyway. Good Luck!
