Hi Everyone,
We purchased a 2001 GW Islander with twin 200HP HPDI's last year. When the motors are running at idle the Port motor causes a lot more turbulance when the exhaust is exiting the prop. Any idea's what can be causing this? One thing we noticed when flushing the motors out after each use was that the port motor would be at full stream of water coming out of the pee hole almost instantly. When we flushed the starboard motor the wate pressure builds up and eventally gets to a full stream coming out of the pee hole. Could the Pressure Relief Valve be stuck open. And if so, would it cause more turbulance in the exhaust coming out of the prop? Any ideas or help would be appreciated. No overheat alarms going off as well.
