Electricity from a Yamaha 15HP

Hi

I want to install a depth finder in my boat and don't know how to take electricity from my motor, is there a way to do this.

And if so, what kind of depth finder would be good.

If this is manual start model then would have to install a 6G1-81970-00-00 Rectifier Kit on outboard and connect it to a 12 volt battery to charge the battery. Connect depth finder to battery.
