    hello
on one of my 2005 f90 (i have 3 of em used as rental )has the tach suddenly going too high,at idle the rpm showing is around 1200 rpms, as soon as i give a little gas, the tach goes quickly to 6-7000 rpms and all the way to the end . first i thought it was a bad tach, remplaced it, the same, replaced it again, second new tach still the same...i made sure the switch behind the tach is on position# 5 like the 2 others boats with the same engine. i tried all the others positions , it is even worst, the idle rpm is showing 3000 rpms.
i swapped the 2 new tachs on a second boat with the same engine, the rpm showing is good, 800 rpms at idle and 5800 at wot.
My question is : what triggers the tach? what send the signal to the tach?
i swaped the voltage regulators with no succes.
    thank you for any help.
    frenchy
Working...
