703 fast idle

I recently installed a new con*****er and helm station on my RIB. Had to change the pull to push throttle linkage. My question...Is the fast idle mechanical or electrical? It doesn't seem to do anything. Could I have not have placed this in the right position when I was inside the con*****er changing the throttle linkage.

That is a mechanical setup. Could be the throttle cable itself is not adjusted or loose in the helm. Did you check for wot at the engine?

Thanks. I found the cable needed to be adjusted tighter.
