Had a stainless 4 blade impeller installed with a new liner, ect. Took the boat out this weekend and the motor was so much noisier and sounded like something was loose in the pump, a metal sound. Called the shop and was told that this is natrural, the impeller has a close tolerance to the liner and is rubbing against a wear ring. As it seats in the noise will go away. I want to mention this happens at idle or just above idle, but as I increase the RPM, the noise goes away. I have never heard of this, but am new to boating and definitely to jet pumps. I notice the boat rides different, getting out of the hole shot quicker and on plane sooner, staying on plane at lower RPMs, riding higher in the water. The speed vs RPM has also changed and gained 3-4 thousand on the top end. But every once in a while when I gun it from idle it seems like it dosen't bite the water and is sluggesh to get going. It is a 2000 115 two stroke. Is this natural? Thanks, Jerry
