T-8 Throttle Cable hard to shift.

I have a 2001 T-8 *****ing motor, and the shifter is getting extremely difficult to shift and move. Does anyone know if there is a way to lube the cables or do you just replace them. There are some kinks in them from the power tilt. Is there some shifter and throttle cables that are more flexible and don't bend and kink so easily. Any help would be great. Thanks.

It's better to replace control cables. Yamaha has a supreme cable that works good in tight places it's the MAR-CABLE-??-GY part numbers.
