40 hp yamaha 2000 year mfg

I recently bought this 16 foot carolina skiff with a 2000 40 hp yamaha motor. today it seems a clutch between the prop and the drive has been stripped and will afford only a idle forward or reverse thrust. can this be repaired by taking the prop off? how much are the parts? I appreciate any help, thanks
