Hi.
This past weekend, I was out in my backyard servicing my 150 to get it ready for fall fishing. And I hooked the water hose up and ran the engine for a short period of time (maybe 10-15 min.) and the buzzer came on and I assume it was over heating. I put two new thermostats in the engine last year. I did not have this problem when the boat was in the water a couple of weekends ago when I ran it for 12-15 miles that day so I am wondering how often should you or should not flush the engine with the salt treatment? The boat has always been in salt water since new. Is this typical to over heat when running it on a water hose?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
