  • Draining VST on a F250 - 4 stroke

The past two seasons the service tech who serviced my engines said that it was not necessary to drain the VST on my engines if I ran fuel with stabilizer in it. It was his opinion that the fuel mixed with stabilizer would not cause a problem in the VST. I was wondering if that is the case or should the VST be drained regardless. I would also like to know if it is a simple matter of loosening the VST drain screw or do I have to do anything in addition.

Some say keep the tank wet, it'll keep the seals from drying up. I drain mine with the brass drain screw.
