I mentioned in an earlier post this spring about a possible waterjacket leak.
I purchased a torque wrench and the head bolts were all slightly loose at 14-15ftlbs so i torqued them down to the 21ftlbs it calls for. The bottom cylinder head gasket and water jacket gasket shows salt crystal deposits after every use that i clean off and now a few of the cylinder head bolts are beginning to rust.
-If head bolts break off in the block on removal, will the block need replacing or can they be tapped out without damaging the block? Im not going to attempt this repair myself, im just trying to figure out the extent of what kind of cost im looking at. I would assume the block has to be removed to be able to tap out the bottom bolts as they can only be accesses with crows feet wrenches & I cant afford a huge repair bill right now.
