Hi all - new to the forum here so just want to thank all in advance for any advice. I have a 1997 8HP model 8MSHS outboard that has been giving me some startup trouble. After further review, I am fairly certain its a gunky card since I haven't used fuel additive. I have never removed this carb, and don't have a service manual.
My question is, how to remove the carb. There is a faceplate on the outboard's frame that houses the kill switch, throttle, etc. On that faceplate are two rubber gaskets. When I remove those gaskets, I clearly see two bolts on the carb that need to be removed. Are those the only two bolts that need to be removed in order to remove the carb?
Thanks for any insight and help you might provide!
