Yamaha 15 refuses to idle

Hello,

My 15 HP Yamaha refuses to idle, It starts no problem with the choke, I then need to keep the revs up or else it konks out, I then engage into gear at high revs ( not good ) and can get it to run. Although once I arrive to my destination the engine konks out. I have not ****ed around with idle screw or other adjustments for air/fuel mixtures..

I have a feeling it´s starving for air, but I maybe wrong. This motor has been with me for the last 5 years and has been extremely faithful.

can someone help with some insight

Probably need to remove and clean carbs, check for bad gaskets between carb and intake manifold.
