  • Info about Yamaha 60 hp 1984 needed badly

    Hi,

this is the my first post to this forum so I hope I don't ask something you've already discussed a lot.

Anyway, I have a Yamaha 60 hp 1984 (3-cyl) with short shaft in really good condition and I am now going to put it on a Zodiac Futura Sport with the goal to make it go really fast.
The boat is very light-weight (84 kgs without the engine) and has a good hull, so I'm expecting to hit around 50 knots with the right prop and pretty aggressive trim on the engine.
What I'm going to need for sure is a good steel-prop and before ordering one I'd like to figure out exactly which size and pitch to get.

I can't seem to find the gear-ratio of my outboard anywhere. Is there someone on this forum that might have a clue?

Actually, of someone has the engine-manual scanned laying around somewhere I would really appreciate if they would share it with me.

There wasn't a 60hp motor model here in USA until about 2000 and probably not the same model as yours, we don't have manuals or any information on European models.
