I have a 2007 150 4 stroke that the dealer overfilled the oil by 2 1/2 quarts I have at least 10 hours on motor with it being overfilled what will this do to the engine if anything

Are you sure it is not making oil?
A lot of the 4 strokes have gas getting into the oil and making it over full plus it thins out the oil which is not good on the motor. Talk to your dealer and see what they say -
I would have to agree with 99yam40.. Yamaha and other 4 stroke outboards are known to have what they call "making oil" issues. Here is a another forum for you to become a member of and once there, search the forums for "making oil". You will get lots of hits. Also, Google --> Yahama making oil, you will see that lots of people have the same issue!
