Ignition problems need help

Hi all,
I've just fitted a 1995 60hp FET to my boat everything seemed ok untill it came to switching off. The only way i could kill the engine was by removing the HT leads.The ignition switch had no effect what so ever. Any help greatly appreciated by a complete Yamaha novice

Could be a broken white wire between ignition switch and CDI unit on engine.

Absolutly spot on checked it out and it was an open circuit between the two. Fitted new wire job sorted thanks for your help.
