I have a 04 50HP engine with the Fuel enrichment feature. Can someone explane how it work and how to use it? I bought a use boat and a user manual did not come with it. When we bought the boat we had trouble getting the engine to run we turned the fuel enrichemnt red switch fully counter clockwise and the engine runs but what are the other two positions for? If the fuel enrichment red switch is in the middle positon the engine will not run. I have pictures is that would help.

It is called prime Start enrichment, Do a search and read up on it.

Turned fully counter clockwise is the normal run position, the middle is open emergency start, and full clockwise is closed. Should be left in the normal run position as long as the carbs are in good shape -
