  • F225 excessive smoke

I run an 8.5m RIB with a twin handed F225 power. Whilst at about 4400 rpm my std rotation engine let go ! White smoke and immediate loss of power.
Out of the water it starts ,runs smoothly but on compression testing there is a loss of compression on the top cylinder right bank. Has anyone got an ideea of the extent of the damage that may have occurred and indeed what could have caused it ?
    Any help would be appreciated.

You will need to open it up and see what damage occurred, from that you should be able to figure out what caused it.

lean fuel/air ratio on a cylinder will run hot and eat pistons

Thankyou. I will have a look and see what the damage looks like.
