yamaha 9.9 coil 1990 to a 1995

hi guys i have a 1995 9.9 four stroke that needs the coil replaced this one
Yamaha Outboard Parts 1995 T9.9EXHT GENERATOR Diagram

and i have a early 90s model striped for spares this one
Yamaha Outboard Parts 1990 FT9.9ERLD CDI MAGNETO Diagram

will the early 90s coil work on my 95 model the part is different but all the wires and fiitings are same cdi and plug leads the 2 engines are identical
any help would be great

If the part numbers are different then probably wouldn't work.
