1994 Yamaha C75 T&T issue

T&T on my recently Yamaha C75 worked fine -for a few days. Untill I put it in water. Now, when I commanded to move -either way. It kind of moan and groan like it is telling me it received the command but something is preventing for executing it.

Planning to:
- Apply T&T Lube
- Do Voltage test
- Learn how to and check Pump fluid. Help?

But, is there any rick of the Trade?
