Issues with Starter Control Box

I am having an issue with my starter control box for my 115 yamaha, the key box and safety lanyard are located on the dash. When I try to shut the boat off by turning the key all the way to the left, the motor continues to run. The only way I can kill the motor is by pulling the safety lanyard. I checked the wiring harness in the console and it doesn't appear that any wires are loose. Any ideas??? Thanks

Test the switch to see if it is making connection from ground to the kill wire when turned to off
