hello all just purchased my first dinghy and engine a seahawk II dinghy with a intex motor mount, also a small yamaha 2b 6a1 (2hp). 10kg weight
when attached to the dinghy it seems to sag abit even more when i apply throttle, also looks like its running diagnal and its sitting very deep.
it refuses to go full revs will only manage about half then it starts to choke/die is this because of the depth its running at maybe exhaust pressure ?, it seems to run full with no probs in a tank, also apart from that am i losing speed even at half revs with it set up in this way. seemed like people wer walking the same speed as the dinghy
how should the engine be mounted correctly, would it be a good idea to buy some wood and make a higher mount if thats necessary, if so what wood is best. thanks
