First time posting here. I have a 2003 Parker with a 150 HPDI.
I changed the Racor recently as had an inch of water in bottom of bowl along with a layer of whiteish looking crud that seemed to indicate phase separation. I then drained the VST tank to check the condition of the mixture and visually checked see thru filter. Both looked fine. Then I pumped the bulb to reprime. The engine kicked off 1st time, but a quantity of blue smoke appeared. The smoke disappeared and I tested the engine at idle and under load for a good hour before shutting her down for 10 minutes. Good news - checked the Racor and no water. Bad news - cranked up the engine again and got some blue smoke, but not a whole lot.
The hour gauge shows 673 hours. Does smoke indicate a condition demanding immediate attention? Thanks in advance for your advice.
