i am going to buy a 2004 90hp 2 stroke, i am not new to boating but am going to that from a 9.9 4 stroke. What specifics should i look for and issues? its on a palm beach 181cc anything else i should look for or be worried about? Thanks,Chris.

Check compression, inspect gearcase oil for water or metal in oil, look for corrosion.

You didn't list model number but it's probably a oil injected, carb model if it's a 2 stroke.
