Orientation of thermostat 1993 200hp

First post, I'm new to boating and after purchasing the Seloc manual, and reading several forums, I'm trying to solve an overheating issue. I took out the thermostat's and they were corroded with salt. I cleaned the housing and purchased new thermo's. However, I forgot to check the orientation of the thermostat in the motor.

Is there a certain way they go in? Mine have two indentations on the cover.

The way you have is fine, it doesn't have to be rotated any certain way.
